I have seen many a beautiful beach, The whole world within tranquility's reach, The mighty power of the human mind, Which has within its grasp-- The unity, the purity of total entwinement In a world that can be totally changed From the planet earth to the planet freedom. I send my soul on wings of thoughts, To reach and find and bring what I have sought, To try to hurt no one, though hurt has been my middle name, But never will I accept this part of the shame that society's hatred has brought upon all of us, Like a thundering hateful, crashing rain. I'd rather be like lighting, for it has no earthly gate, It strikes the earth naturally, and not with deadly hate, I'd rather be like thunder, for that is children's shouts, I'd rather be a tear of sorrow than a smile of arrogance. I know not which way my words will be borne by the wind, But I do know that I plant the seed Among all the people of my earth deep within, That all can stand with a loving hand And share our beautiful land. I say I come to be with thee, my brother and sister, I'll never hate the color or creed, But rather fight the individuals whose lust for power Has made them personifications of human greed. Don't they know we only wish to live in total peace?
